From the blog

I’m a little late posting this up. (As of right now it’s got a little over 43,000 plays on SoundCloud) But this is just an amazing mix done by DJ Allen Thayer and Wax Poetics that showcases the works of Lincoln Olivetti who is known as “the wizard of the studios” and the “pop magician” in Brazilian disco and boogie music. I have to admit I’m not all that knowledgeable about Brazilian Boogie and Disco but I can tell you that this is one hell of a great mix! I’ve been listening to it on repeat for a couple of weeks now and it just get better and better each time. It still amazes me the impact of early disco music and how it spread like wildfire throughout the world. I don’t believe there has been another genre of music that spread this quickly. I mean, rock music did spread quickly but I don’t believe it was on the same level as disco.

If you want the full play by play commentary, and to get way more information than I can inform you of about on Lincoln Olivetti and on the tracks in this mix head on over to the post on Wax Poetics site.
